Better Apps

About Better Apps

Better Apps is a small, opinionated directory of marketing tools, run by Kerry Morrison of BetterStory.

Better Apps helps people who run marketing with small teams pick tools without reading dozens of sales pages. It is built for owners and operators of small marketing agencies, freelance and solo marketers, and in-house marketers at small and mid-size companies.

What you will find

Tools are grouped by job: Ads, Reporting, Research, Ops, Content and email, and AI assistants. Each category page explains the job, what a small team needs from it, and how to choose.

Each tool page tries to answer the questions people ask before they buy. What does it cost? Who is it best for? Who should skip it? What are the alternatives? How hard is it to set up? And when does it make sense to hire help?

Two kinds of pages

Some tools have a full review. A full review includes Kerry's own verdict, one real flaw, and a review date. Other tools have a listing, which holds verified facts only and carries the label "Not yet reviewed by Kerry". The how we pick page explains the difference.

Who runs it

Kerry Morrison runs Better Apps. Kerry also runs BetterStory, which does applied AI consulting for mid-market SaaS. The site's tagline is "The toolkit is how we work, not what we sell."

BetterStory services are promoted on this site, and that is a business relationship. The disclosure page explains it in full.

The rules

Nobody pays to change a verdict or a ranking. Prices show their source and the date they were checked. At launch there are no affiliate links and no sponsored listings. Vendors can ask for a correction through the claim page, and anyone can suggest a tool through the submit page.

If you spot a mistake, say so. Fixing errors is part of how the site earns trust.
